Becoming a UN Ocean Decade Project

We are thrilled to announce that Coral Reefstoration Ghana has been officially endorsed as an Ocean Decade Action under the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030).

This recognition is a significant milestone in our journey to expand access to ocean exploration, scientific diving, marine research, conservation, education, storytelling and community engagement in Ghana and across Africa.

Through our work, we are building capacity for a new generation of ocean scientists, conservationists, divers, educators, storytellers and ocean leaders.

From the Ghana Dive Lab and scientific diving, to coral reef research and restoration, maritime archaeology, ocean literacy, underwater storytelling and our upcoming All-Women Dive Lab, we believe that access and knowledge are powerful tools for ocean protection.

We are grateful to everyone who has supported Coral Reefstoration Ghana: our partners, mentors, volunteers, dive community, scientists, educators, and the many people who continue to believe in the vision. Let’s continue to collaborate and take action for our ocean!
